Question-Persuade-Refer (QPR) training (July)

Suicide was on the rise in CT even before the pandemic, and now so many more people are struggling. Someone you know may be seriously considering suicide. Do you know how to recognize warning signs? What would you say and do? QPR is a 1.5 hour training using videos, slides, and group role play to help you feel ready to reach out to someone in distress and use a simple 3-step process to help connect them to support. This is an evidence-based training and you will receive a certificate good for 3 years that you are a QPR Gatekeeper. Open to anyone aged 16+. 

Please note: If you have been personally affected by a suicide in the past 6 months, we recommend that you do not attend any type of suicide prevention training at this time. You are welcome to attend when more time has gone by.
