About the event

This is a FREE training being offered specifically to Norwalk residents and Norwalk nonprofit providers to enhance their skills to serve the community. Positive Directions is grateful to the Elizabeth Raymond Ambler Trust for funding the training, and is happy to contribute this training to the Norwalk community as part of our involvement with the Social-Emotional Health initiative and The Norwalk Partnership.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an evidence-based training for anyone aged 16+ who wants to be able to recognize that someone is struggling and know how to respond. It covers:

Participants will learn the 5-step ALGEE action plan:

Encourage self-help and other support strategies

Following the training, participants will receive a certificate valid for 3 years.
