Lifeskills Workshop
Event Description:
LifeSkills Parenting Workshop is for parents of 7th-10th grade students and is a 7 week science-based program designed to strengthen parents’ communications with their adolescent children in an effort to prevent risky behaviors. Parents of teenagers realize the stresses and social pressures their children are faced with every day and how this might affect their decisions, good and bad. This can sometimes create anxiety not only in the parent/adolescent relationship, but in the entire family as well. The focus of this parent workshop is on ways to help our young adults develop the personal self management and social skills they will need as they continue their journey toward independence. The class is limited to 14 participants and will be led by 2 professionals.
The fee for the 7 week session is $140. Partial and Full Scholarships are available and requests are treated in confidence. Classes will meet every Tuesday from February 2nd to March 23rd, excluding February 16th. Fees are non-refundable.
